I was skeptical of Ketamine treatment for my child who has suffered from depression, anxiety and PTSD. We have tried in-hospital stays, PHP, IOP, DBT, EMDR and A.R.T. therapy and been to multiple therapists. I am now amazed at the care Dr. Ang provides to his patients. He explains everything, takes his time and makes sure dosage changes are done gradually. Out of all the metal health practices I listed above, Ketamine has been life changing for our child and us as a family. We have gotten our happy, confident and social child back and cannot thank Dr. Ang enough for all his help and how well he runs his clinic!

I have been suffering from anxiety and depression for over 25 years. After multiple failed attempts with medication to overcome depression, I researched and discovered ketamine treatment. Dr. Ang and his staff are just phenomenal. I was treated with the highest respect and every one of my questions were answered. I have not felt this good in years. I wish I discovered this center years ago. Thank you Dr. Ang and Alma! I appreciate you both more than you both ever will know!

I have been suffering from generalized anxiety disorder, irritable bowel syndrome, depression, and OCD for years. I read online that ketamine is a breakthrough treatment for depression and chronic pain. Plus, it's a promising treatment for my other conditions. I decided to receive ketamine infusions from the Ketamine Center of CT for these reasons plus the relatively low cost. It is $3000 for 6 infusions and the consultation if you pay upfront (or $550 per infusion if you pay individually). This may sound like a lot, but it's the best deal in CT that I could find. For instance, the CT Psychiatric and Wellness Center charges $3,500 for the infusions and consultation. Also, the Ketamine Center of Greater Hartford charges $3300 for all 6 infusions. Regarding the clinic itself, the Ketamine Center of CT has a very clean, peaceful atmosphere. Dr. Ang is up to date on the latest ketamine research. He and his staff are also VERY friendly. Plus, there seems to be a good amount of availability to set up your appointments. You receive the ketamine infusions in a very comfortable chair and given a soothing blanket. During your infusions, you listen to relaxing instrumental music via headphones. There are also flickering lights in the background that change color. Each ketamine infusion resulted in a different experience for me. The first two ketamine infusions were pleasant and rather similar. The third one resulted in anxiety, but Dr. Ang gave me some medication which really helped my future infusion experiences. Experiences 4, 5, and 6 got more pleasant each time. I couldn't feel any pain from the IBS or anxiety. My whole body was totally numb (in a good way), and I was in peace. The ketamine infusions effectively improved my energy, made me feel happier, dramatically reduced my OCD, and restored my terrible concentration back to normal. I didn't experience any benefits until after my fifth session, so don't expect it to help immediately. Some people respond after their first infusion, but everyone is different. However, the ketamine infusions did not improve my anxiety or IBS, both of which require higher doses than for depression. To fix these remaining issues at a low cost, I'm going to inquire about ketamine nasal spray for home-use. Best of luck to you on your mental health journey! If you want to receive ketamine infusions (which are more effective and more likely to work than nasal or oral ketamine), then the Ketamine Center of CT is the place to go to!

I am a 69 year old nurse, suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain from multiple spinal and disc problems. I have done extensive research on available treatments for all these issues, and decided to try ketamine. There are 2 main ketamine protocols; one for depression, anxiety, PTSD, and similar issues. The other is for pain. I decided to try the one for my PTSD first. It is vital to follow a customized, personal protocol, with appropriately trained and experienced practitioners. Dr. Ang, who runs the Ketamine Clinic, is an Anesthesiologist, who is very informed and experienced with ketamine. His nurse works with him seamlessly, making the experience the best I could imagine. My treatment plan was based on my symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, and medications that may affect the way the ketamine works. The Ketamine Center of Connecticut is the best of its kind that I found. I was treated with respect, had everything explained to me in detail, felt safe and comfortable during the infusions, and knew I was being closely monitored. I was briefed and debriefed before and after each session. I had excellent results from the initial series of infusions for my PTSD. Loops of negative self-talk were muted, and I felt bigger and stronger than my issues. As an added bonus, several weeks later, my depression is better, and it even helped a bit with pain. I am planning to do a pain protocol, and Dr. Ang has already discussed how to customize it, based on how I responded to the series I had. I cannot say enough positive comments about my experience. Do not be fooled by the sprays (not the whole drug), clinics that have a one-dose-fits-all approach (needs to be tailored to you), or use practitioners who do not have the teaching, training, and experience to be using a powerful tool (I was very comfortable that an Anesthesiologist and his nurse were on top of it). And the IV control is imperative. That is truly designed to customize it. My life is changing in positive ways, and I am excited to work further with them as my pain eventually gets worse. As a last note, and important to me, was that Dr. Ang and his nurse, being very professional, were also very loving and caring. I felt support from them, genuine interest in what I was experiencing, and a desire from them for me to succeed. I am so happy to have found them!

I have never felt more comfortable, safe and taken care of by a doctor before. Dr. Ang makes sure that the patient understands and is on board with everything before starting anything. Dr.Ang has given me hope that one day I will be “normal” and pain free.
